Whole Milk Powder (WMP)

Whole Milk Powder (WMP) is obtained by the two step
evaporation process of standardized whole milk. The first
step involves the evaporation of milk to get 45-50% total
solids using an evaporator. Secondly, the evaporated milk
is passed through a nozzle and spray dried in hot air within
a heated chamber. The powder from the chamber is then
cooled and WMP is obtained.

Intended/Suggested Uses:

  • Has a wide range of applications including reconstitution of milk, production of sweetened condensed milk, fermented milk products, Yoghurt, Ice cream mixes among many others.
  • May be used as an ingredient in bakery and confectionery products.
  • Not for use in infant formula for infants less than 12 months of age
