Lato Milk’s staff take part in Annual Rotary Cancer Run

It started with excitement when Pearl Dairy’s staff confirmed participation in the 11th edition of the Rotary Cancer Run. This was our maiden joint staff participation that brought together 40 staff members from Banda, Kazi, Bugolobi and Kololo offices.
On 4th September 2022 early morning, all roads led to Kololo independence grounds, Lato team was led by Clair (Co-Ordinator – Institution) and Lilian (Admin – Bugolobi).
With a huge crowd of over 20,000 participants from all walks of life, the event was flagged off by Rotary International’s president Ms. Jennifer Jones, and involved 21 Km, 10 Km and 5 km runs. So challenging yet so very exciting. Of the 40 Lato participants, 10 participated in the  21Km and finished  with resounding  “Abasembyeyo”.
The salience of brand Lato saw Team Lato invited for breakfast at the Foreign Affairs tent. It goes without a say that it’s not what the brand is made of but what it stands for, and brand Lato stood for humanity engagement.
It was a great time to loosen up and catch up with long lost comrades, young and old, while contributing to making the world a better place. It was indeed a great experience for one and all. Looking forward to many more.
