14 Mar Women’s Day celebrated with March towards Womens Equity initiative
Who is a woman? What would we say if we were asked this question today? What would we write if we were given the task of writing an essay on women? With certainty, we will no longer be staring at a blank page. Women have made uncountable contributions in a variety of fields, and their achievements came through despite all odds, and she is ready to take on the world. A more gender-balanced world is emerging everywhere, and individuals and organizations are pledging to support equity through concrete action around the globe.
We want to establish a diverse workforce in which men and women are offered equal opportunities to contribute to their full potential, resulting in inclusion in all aspects. This year’s International Women’s Day provided us with an excellent opportunity to emphasize equality, empower women, and create possibilities for them to thrive. It gave us all a chance to think about inclusion within our company and policies we could implement to help us get there.
In keeping with this year’s theme of #EmbraceEquity, executive Sheryl Sandberg’s wise words came to mind “In the future, there will be no female leaders. Only leaders will exist.” This year, we celebrated Lato women by bringing them together for breakfast/brunch; while some teams went out, other teams networked within the office premises. It was essential to highlight innovative action that promotes the advancement of women. We want to see women soar and be recognized for their achievements.
Lato Milk’s HR department’s tireless efforts contributed to the success of this year’s Woman’s Day event, with the goal of connecting, inspiring, and empowering women to create a future of inclusion and gender parity at all levels. It was a vibrant purple affair, that allowed women from all walks of life share their stories, raise their opinions, and make a difference in their communities.
