18 Jul Lato Milk partners with UOC to support Uganda Olympic Team for Tokyo 2020
Uganda is among the many countries worldwide waiting to feature in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games scheduled for 23rd July to 8th August this year in Japan.
A total of 25 athletes (13 women and 12 men) from four sports disciplines are undergoing relentless training sessions in preparation for the global event as Uganda is set to make its 16th appearance at the games.
With an aim of boosting the athletes’ confidence Lato Milk has partnered with the Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC) to sponsor the Uganda Olympic Team.
The partnership will see Lato Milk provide its range of dairy products directly to the athletes during this whole countdown to the Olympic games and also cover the 2024 summer Olympics in Paris, France.
“We are counting down 100 Days to the Games and we are very happy to be unveiling our partnership with Lato Milk. We have come out to provide products that will be given directly to athletes. I believe this is the beginning of the relationship” UOC president Dr. Donald Rukare noted.
Rukare is also positive that the development will help the athletes in their nutritional buildup as they get ready for the Olympics since UOC has agreed with the firm to have a long-term relationship that will go into 2024 summer Olympic Games in Paris.
Middleweight Boxer David Semujju Kavuma said, “We thank our sponsors who have come on board to enhance our performances in training with multi-nutrition support and this will run until the end of the camp. As boxers, we need a lot of food to boost our energy and we thank the management.”
